Hello, I am the great-great-great grandaughter of James Shepherd (Shephard) and Rebecca Andress. My father is Robert Hansen, Grandmother-Mildred Shepherd Hansen, Great-grandfather, Frank J. Shepherd (Marine City, Michigan), he was the son of Albert Shepherd, son of James and Rebecca. Do you have any other Shephard history?? We know nothing of Albert. My father Robert J. Hansen was born in Detroit in 1934. We presently live in Kansas. Dad in Augusta and I live in Wichita. Dad will be going to Michigan in Aug. 2008 and will day trip in the Wallaceburg, Ont. area.

Earl Cain:
I got a rootsweb email with this site listed. I'll be back to look around. My Cain family came from England approx 1720. Settled in what is now Mays Landing, NJ. And is still there.

Paula Tompkins Ewing:
Your site is fantastic. Thanks for sharing. John Wood and Rebecca Cain are my my mother's line down to the Andress folks. Paula

Grace Holman:
My great great grandmother was Ophelia Hogaboom Zufelt Goheen. I was delighted to find the Cain genealogy with this connection. My grandmother was Rhoda Emmaline Prince

Judy Cain Bowser:
I am searching for my CAIN roots in Pennsylvania. Extensive research has been done but to no avail. My 2nd great grandparents were James and Sarah Ann (no known maiden name) Cain who settled in and around the Freeport, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania area in 1826. They had seven children as far as I have been able to determine, and one of them was my great grandfather Levi Cain (1824-1900) who married Cathern Sumney (1829-1900). I would appreciate any help I can get on tracing their roots. Thanks!!!

George Edward Cain:
Just stumbled on this site, I recognize the photo of Alonzo Cain from some family photos I have here at home. I'll be back later to take a closer look!

Joe Brisson:
Awesome site! I think if you dig into Levi Richardson Comstock a little further, you will learn that he has several U.S. Patents for stoves. Additionally, while you list only one son on your site, it would appear that he may actually have as many as five children.

What a beautiful job you did at putting this all together.
I found your web page by looking for my 3x great grandfather John Goheen who married Olphelia Hogaboom. My great grandfather Hubert Mills Gallon married Mahala Wellington who is the daughter of Joseph Wellington and Mary Goheen. Mary Goheen is the daughter of John Goheen and Olphelia Hogaboom. I would love to have more information on Olphelia and if you ever get a chance to email me, please do.

Glad to see a site for us!I have my geanology back to 1707

Kevin Ostrowski:
My wife's Great-Grandfather was a Reuben Schuyler Colfax Cain born in Virginia, USA and married to a Sarilda Edwards. So far I have been unable to find any information dating earlier than 1910 US Census Records. Are there any leads or possible links that you could be aware of? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Geraldine Chase:
Congratulations on the terrific website. A great deal of work involved and I'm grateful to have access to it.
I'm descended from Isaiah Cain and Leah Adams through George Cain and Margaret Moore and their son William Riley Cain who married Annis Matilda Carpenter.
Again, thanks for your dedication to searching the tree.

Victoria Gatenby:
Great site! I am the great granddaughter of Burton and Mary Ann Burtch. My grandfather was Merton Flynn Burtch the youngest of their 10 children. I would be more than happy to give you as much information on this line of the family if you need it. Keep up the great work and thank you.

A. Daniel Cain:
I am the great great grandson of Henry and Mary Jane Cain. Their house still stands to this day with their grandson and his wife living there. My father was born in the house July 25, 1937 and live across the corner from it growing up.

Anne Tennant:
Royce and I send congratulations on your site.I found it while looking for any further information on Simon Snider and wife Hester ? Griffin.
Correction: James Tennant married Mary Hill 14 April 1875 (not 1916)
Cornelius Tennant died 11 Jan 1889(not 1881). These are sons of John Tennant.

Will Hudson:
Hello cousins. Unfortunately, you do not have much information on John & Rebecca (Cain) Wood's youngest daughter, Amy (Wood) Fraser/Frasier/Frazer/Frazier. She was my great-great-great grandmother. Other information postings, such as rootsweb.com, either briefly mention Amy, or not at all. I would be more than happy to supply as much information as I can. Jeremiah Frazier & Amy Wodd had several children, including, Mary Ann Charlotte. She married Franklin Gould. Their son, Martin, married Allie Maude Herrington. Their daughter, Etta Grace, married George Harrison Hudson. Etta & George are my grandparents. I have lateral information to the proceeding generations as well. Amy Wood lived in Wisconsin and all following generations are rooted in Wisconsin, Fraziers, Goulds & Hudsons are all buried in Rock County, Wisconsin.

James McQueen:
amazing! James tennant was my gr-gr-gr grandfather, lots of good info!

Amy Fennell:
Hi! I just stumbled on this sight when looking for information about my family history, and was absolutely shocked to find so much information-- I am a great great great grand-daughter of William Tennant. Exciting to find some information-- thank you!

Carole Sherwood:
Hello
I am helping a cousin who ties into John Burtch and Charlotte Vick. Can you advise me how you know of a Reuben c1872 as I can find all of the other children registrations except Hannah Elizabeth married ? R Dickinson how do you know she married him.

Only differ on the Ethel Mae (Mary) 1900 and she seems to tie into Delbert Burtch and Georgina Hamilton... I have been unable to find the family in the 1881 census.

Any help would be gratefully received
Kindest regard Carole, England
